LOCATIONS E SPANISH RED WINE REVIEW

Back in January, I listed one of the wines from Dave Phinney’s Locations label on my to-drink wish list for 2018.  To be specific, it was the Locations F France Red Wine, because it had been one of the only ones I had seen in stock at one of my regular wine stops.  Much to my surprise, and even more to my liking, I came across the Locations E Spanish Red Wine in the same shop with just a little bit of browsing.

OK, I spent way too much time looking at every single bottle in every single aisle because that’s what I do when I have too much free time on the weekend.

It was February, and it was my birthday weekend.  Although I wanted to keep my options open, I knew I wanted to find a Spanish wine to take home with me for a few reasons:

  1. Red wines from Spain are my absolute favorite.
  2. I had some delicious Chorizo and Ibérico cheese that needed a perfect pairing.
  3. Last year, I drank a really amazing Spanish wine for my birthday, so I thought it would be nice to make it a tradition.

Pair Locations E Spanish Red Wine with Spanish staples like Chorizo and Jamon, Manchego and Iberico cheese, or assorted tapas. So good, even Gus loves it! Fine the full wine review only at {thegloriousgrape.com}

So when I found Locations E Spanish Red Wine on the shelves, I picked it up and happily made my way home to enjoy it.  Here’s everything you need to know, with my Review At Length!

WINE

Locations E Spanish Red Wine, $20.99

“The interplay of provenance, artistry, freedom, and creativity is what inspires us at Locations. With the Iberian Peninsula serving as a backdrop, this fertile ground allowed us to incorporate these attributes into the fourth release of our Spanish offering. Much like generations of craftsmen before us, we were intent to capture the nobility of Spain through its geographic diversity.

The wine presents a dark, polished amethyst with aromatic notes of white pepper, tobacco, and black currant emerging from the glass. A silky mouthfeel with a palate of dark plums, black raspberry, and hints of French vanilla closes with subtle tart black cherry and a lengthy, structural finish.
